SPARRING
Sparring (Kyorugi) is a fundamental and interictal part of Taekwondo training at CFTP Brooklin. It serves as the practical bridge between static class drills and dynamic, real-time application. Rather than simply memorizing forms, practitioners engage in controlled fighting to test their technical skills against a moving opponent. Whether practicing full-contact sparring or light-contact point sparring, the training provides extensive physical, mental, and emotional advantages such as increased mental sharpness and development in cognitive strategy. Boosted confidence, increased self-esteem are also positive takeaways that help build character development & emotional growth.
